Age confirmation and the safety disclaimer
Why Prediabetes.life asks you to confirm your age and review a short medical safety disclaimer.
Confirm your age
Prediabetes.life is currently for adults 18 and older. The Confirm your age screen asks you to attest to this once. It exists so the program’s content and safety questions stay appropriate for an adult, self-directed audience.
The Medical Safety Disclaimer
Before you go further, the Medical Safety Disclaimer screen explains, in plain terms, what Prediabetes.life is and isn’t: it’s an educational tool that provides wellness education and personal pattern insights based on what you enter — it does not diagnose or treat disease, and does not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
It also notes that Prediabetes.life is an evidence-aligned prevention program inspired by proven diabetes-prevention principles, but it is not CDC-recognized, NHS-approved, or certified by any health authority, and it does not diagnose, treat, reverse, or cure diabetes or prediabetes. Diabetes-range lab values always need follow-up with a clinician.
You confirm you understand this with a single checkbox — “I understand that this is an educational tool and not medical advice. I will consult a healthcare professional for medical decisions.” — before continuing.
