Prediabetes.life — Terms of Service
Version 2026-08-08 · Effective 2026-08-08
1. Agreement and eligibility
By creating an account or using the Prediabetes.life website and application (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. Prediabetes.life is intended only for users who are 18 years of age or older. Users under 18 may not create or use an account. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 years old. This representation is verified by an affirmative confirmation required at account creation, enforced server-side. This Service and these Terms are intended for residents of the United States only.
2. Who we are
Sierre Technologies LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company, 4 Crossroads Ct, Dayton, NJ 08810, United States, operates Prediabetes.life.
3. Educational purpose — not medical advice
Prediabetes.life is an educational, evidence-aligned prevention program. It provides general lifestyle education and personal pattern insights based on the information you enter. It is not CDC-recognized, NHS-approved, or certified by any health authority, and it does not diagnose, treat, reverse, or cure diabetes, prediabetes, or any other condition.
4. Not medical advice; not an emergency service
The Service does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not a substitute for professional medical care. It is not intended for use in a medical emergency. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or contact your local emergency services immediately.
5. Consult a qualified healthcare professional
Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making medical decisions, including decisions based on information or insights from the Service. Diabetes-range lab values you enter require follow-up with your clinician — the Service will say so, and pauses automatic enrollment in that case, but does not replace that follow-up.
6. Account representations and responsibilities
By creating an account, you represent that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge, including your responses to the clinical-screening questions, which we use to route you safely between the self-guided program and a recommendation to consult a healthcare professional. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at support@prediabetes.life if you suspect unauthorized use.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to: misuse the Service to harm others; attempt to access another user's data; interfere with the Service's operation or security; or use the Service in a way that violates applicable law.
8. Limited license to your information
You retain rights in the information you provide. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to use that information solely to operate, maintain, and improve the Service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its content, design, trademarks, and underlying software, is owned by Sierre Technologies LLC or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except for the limited rights expressly granted to you to use the Service, no other rights are granted to you.
10. Third-party services
The Service may use or integrate with third-party services. As of this Terms version: Supabase (hosting/authentication) and USDA FoodData Central (food search) are active; a Gemini-based photo-analysis feature and Fitbit/Garmin wearable integrations are not yet active. Your use of any third-party service through the Service may also be subject to that provider's own terms.
11. AI features — limitations
Where the Service offers AI-assisted features, such features are provided for informational convenience only, may be inaccurate or unavailable, and are not medical advice. As of this Terms version, no AI feature is transmitting data to a third-party AI provider in the live product.
12. Wearable/device integration limitations
Where the Service supports connecting a third-party wearable or health-tracking device, data imported from that device may be incomplete or inaccurate, and we are not responsible for the accuracy of data supplied by third-party devices or services. No such integration is currently active.
13. Availability and changes to the Service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes that affect your use of the Service.
14. Termination and account deletion
You may delete your account at any time from Settings, which permanently removes your account and associated data as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.
15. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, except to the extent prohibited by applicable law.
16. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sierre Technologies LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim arose, or (b) one hundred dollars ($100). Nothing in this section limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
17. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Sierre Technologies LLCharmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service, except to the extent caused by our own breach of these Terms or violation of applicable law.
18. Privacy
Our collection and use of your information is described in our Privacy Policy and, for consumer health data, our separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, both incorporated into these Terms by reference.
19. Governing law and venue — dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any Dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, or your use of the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state and federal courts located in New Jersey, and you and Sierre Technologies LLC each consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. You retain the right to bring a Dispute in court, including, where otherwise permitted by law, as part of a class, collective, or representative proceeding — these Terms do not require individual arbitration and do not include a class-action waiver.
21. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
22. Changes to these Terms
We will post any changes to these Terms here with a new effective date. Any change that expands the health data we collect or share, or reduces your rights, is a material change: we will provide notice and ask you to reaccept before it applies to you.
